How do I
reach
a teacher?

The protocol, such as it is

You do not need a reason and you do not need permission. You do need to not turn up during a period — they will be teaching.

Walk in

Come to the office between 9 and 4 on any working day and ask for the teacher by name. No appointment, no reason needed. If they are in a period, ask the office when that period ends.

At the gate

School closes at half past three and the class teacher walks their own class out. That is the easiest place in the week to catch them without interrupting a lesson.

Through the office

Leave your name and number and ask for a call back. If it doesn't come, tell the principal — that's not a complaint, it's information.

When to avoid

During a period. Seven periods and a zero hour run back to back until 15:30, and a teacher pulled out of one is a class left sitting.

What we do first

If a child is slipping, the class teacher tells you before the marks do. That call is the job, not a courtesy.

What we don't do

No WhatsApp groups for academics. Nothing important is decided in one.
